History

Young & Stout is a family business started by Abner Sterling Stout and Laco Young. Young & Stout was licensed in 1942 and operated for six months under the pair until Young thought the business would fail. Though Young sold his half to Stout and worked at the plant only for labor, the name still stood. Abner Cletus Stout began working with his father in 1951; Abner Stephen Stout started working with his father in 1976 and currently runs the business.
